Just Like the cheese I had in Denmark during my visit in 1985. Doesn't get any better than this! (Updated on 12/27/2009.)

After receiving the mailer from Nordic House we locked on to their website and ordered more or less everything from Heidelberg Dark Vinegar to Medisterpølse & Flæskesteg med svær. To save on the freight charge, we had Pia to divide our order into, what had to be shipped 2nd Day and the remaining by Ground transportation. The only problem we experienced was with the salted Herrings, that we – due to lack of experience – watered-out too long, whereby there was not much taste left in them as Marinated Herrings – which, we of course – can’t blame Nordic House for.
Everything was in perfect order and there was absolutely nothing to even make the slightest complaint about.

Handle with care ...

This stuff speaks of my childhood, because my Mom is Danish. But don't try to kiss a stranger after eating it!
It should be very thinly sliced (ideally with a cheese wire) and eaten on black bread. But good, nutty brown bread will work just as well.
